60th NZ Ecol Soc Conference: Ecology in the Heartland
This years NZ Ecological Society Conference is being held in Rotorua on 28 August - 1 September. There will be three to four concurrent sessions for most of the conference, including ten symposia:
• Bryophyte Ecology - from trait characteristics to ecosystem services
• Ecology and Plantation Forests
• Forest Ecology (2011 is the International Year of Forests)
• Freshwater Ecology - linking theory and practice
• Global Change Biology
• Landscape Ecology: Measuring and modeling movement
• Mires Matter! Wetland Science 60 Years On
• Restoration Ecology
• Plant Physiological Ecology
• Threatened Fauna
Professor Corey Bradshaw will be presenting as a plenary speaker. Registrations are now open, and Earlybird Rates close on 22 July.
