20,000 Images Now On Website
The 20,000th plant image was added yesterday to the Plant Conservation Network website.
The image of the silky alpine buttercup (Ranunculus sericophyllus) was by Network member - Melissa Hutchison. For providing this image, Melissa has won a copy of the 2010 book - Threatened plants of NZ.
More than 150 photographers have provided images to the website making it one of the countries most comprehensive collections of images of NZ plants.
There are still some gaps (especially in the naturalised plants) and people are welcome to submit more images to the Network so that the on-line database continues to grow (E: [Enable JavaScript to view protected content])
