Since the end of summer our Pittosporum had been giving off this bubbly white foam that smells like yeast. I think it might be flux.

The information states that it happens when a tree has been very dry and then suddenly gets moisture. I have been watering my tree through the whole summer so not sure.

I have now noticed that the 'foam" seems to be moving up the trunk and the bark is starting to leak some sap. Some of the bark seem to be coming off the stem.

Most trees in our yard seem to have hole sin them that I understand is not borer as these are quite big.

Any help will be great as we really do not want to lose the tree.

Thank you

Martin
