Habitat

Locally established under and near a large parent tree growin in the grounds of the Mt Albert Research Centre, Mt Albert, Auckland. Numerous seedlings and saplings. Plants possibly spreading across that campus through seed pods that are being moved by curious people.

Life cycle and dispersal

Long lived tree. Reproduces Exclusively by seed, a long lived. Hard shelled bean which forms a larg seed bank. Seeds are dispersed by gravity and by humans tossing fruits/seeds.
